Report `Cashing in on the Kruger': The Potential of Ecotourism to Stimulate Real Economic Growth in South Africa delegates every question

Over 400 international delegates gathered in Johannesburg between 17 and 20 September 1996 for `Ecoworld', an international conference organised by the University of Pretoria's Centre for Wildlife Management and the Centre for Ecotourism. Issues such as community participation in the tourism planning process, the use of pricing as a means of managing demand, and the importance of investing in environmental education were all subjected to detailed analysis and vigorous debate during the four days of the event.
