Nearly 15 years ago, the State of Oregon embarked on an innovative approach to elementary and secondary education designed to revolutionise the content and assessment of teaching and learning in Oregon's
public schools. Oregon's educational reform is not yet fully implemented, and there appear to be some significant hurdles on the horizon. This new approach, however, has provided an opportunity to infuse
geography into the curriculum at every grade level.
